Zonta honors members
The Zonta Club of Key West recently named Carolyn Daly as the February Zontian of the month. Daly has been an active member for several years and currently serves on the board. She was also very involved in the organization's recent skin screenings during a local health fair, according to a press release from the organization.
Zonta also honored Molly Ersay and Barbara Avila for 25 years of service and membership in the organization.
King joins Mayberry real estate
Realtor Doug Mayberry recently announced the addition of Ginger King to his real estate firm as a broker sales associate.
King is originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. and came to Key West via Washington, D.C. 17 years ago. She has been a corporate COO and CEO, a small business owner and a certified Florida mortgage broker, according to a press release.
King has been selling real estate in Key West for nine years and holds a certification in short sales and foreclosures from the National Association of REALTORS¬Æ as well as At Home With Diversity designation and Transnational Referral Certification. She has also served on the board of Key West Association of REALTORS, the release states.
King has been a long time member and board member of the Key West Business Guild. Her community activities include work with the Old Island Restoration Foundation, AIDS Help, Inc, Key West Real Estate Association, Sister Season Fund and Florida Keys Community College Foundation.
First State honors Arnold
First State Bank of the Florida Keys recognized Charly Arnold, team leader of the information technology (IT) department, for his 10th employment anniversary.
Arnold joined First State in 2003 as assistant head teller at the main office and progressed to IT technician in 2005. He became network administrator in 2011, the IT team leader in 2012, when he was also named an employee of the quarter, according to a bank press release.
Sloppy Joe's honors Albury, Riche
Sloppy Joe's bar recently presented the Jean Klausing Award to employee of the month Jean Riche, who has been a part of the bar's kitchen staff for eight years.
He was recognized for his dedication and outstanding performance, said Donna Edwards, brand manager for the iconic Key West bar.
Edwards also announced that longtime Sloppy Joe's employee Robert Albury also was honored for 22 years of service. Albury works in the retail warehouse.
