Freeman, Varela spark Conchs' comeback victory

KEY WEST -- A season ago, Andrew Freeman was a front-line pitcher for the Key West High baseball team, compiling a 3-1 win-loss record with an earned run average of 1.80 over 42⅔ innings.

Then, he had shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum. Now, as his shoulder recovers, he had become a valued third and second baseman as well as a solid hitter.
