'Silver Lining' movie debuts Sunday
Film depicts balance between nature, cruise ships

Thousands of migrating tarpon are currently making their way to the Florida Keys and will join hundreds of resident tarpon when they finally arrive here in late April and early May.

Flats guides fear that a proposed plan to dredge Key West's main shipping channel to accommodate larger cruise ships would keep migrating tarpon away and chase out resident tarpon.

It's a message to which we should all be listening. Cruise industry doesn't care about us or our waters.

True message is: 96/4-- Ninety-six percent of the headaches for four percent of the revenue.

Vote NO on the channel widening referendum this fall.

and thank you for having the courage to produce this film. How many of our city officials will have the courage to attend Sunday evening and open their minds to the overwhelming view shared by the citizens of Key West? Probably none.
