Courthouse closed Monday
The Sidney M. Aronovitz federal courthouse, 301 Simonton St., will be closed Monday for scheduled maintenance.
The courthouse will reopen for normal hours the next day, according to a U.S. District Court press release. Jurors scheduled for jury service on March 18 should call the number listed on their summons if they have any questions.
The court's electronic filing system will remain operational during the one-day closure. Anyone with court business that day can also call the Miami clerk's office at 305-523-5100.

Restoration group party set
Old Island Restoration Foundation will hold its annual Appreciation Party from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday in the garden behind the Oldest House Museum, 322 Duval St., Key West.
The nonprofit will announce the winners of the 2013 restoration grants for historical preservation in Key West.
Also, the group will thank the 21 people who opened their homes to spectators during this season's house tours, which will continue from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $30. For details, call 305-294-9501 or visit www.oirf.org.
BIG PINE KEY
Arrest made in attack
A 62-year-old Big Pine Key man who deputies said tried to rape a woman at his home was arrested Friday on a felony charge of sexual battery.
Lazaro Tapia, a landscaper, remained jailed Monday on a $100,000 bond in connection with the March 2 incident.
The woman, 23, told deputies that Tapia had invited her over to his new apartment, where he offered her beers. She fell asleep and awoke to find him on top of her and shoved him away before running to a nearby house, deputies said.
