Dec. 24, 1941 -- March 6, 2013

Olga Elena Perez Johnson, 71, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 in Miami due to long-term health complications. Olga was born Dec. 24, 1941 in the 700 block of Simonton Street in Key West to parents Henry Perez, Sr., and Piedad "Blanch" Blanco.

Olga was a home health nurse who took care of the elderly for nearly 30 years. She was predeceased by her husband Richard Johnson in 2005, her father Henry Sr. in 1979, her mother Piedad "Blanch" in 2004, her brothers Henry Jr. in 1978 and Peter in 2009. Olga is survived by three aunts, two sisters, a brother, her children Ava, Oliver "Butch" Jr. and Angela Wesley. She is also survived by her seven beloved grandchildren and two beautiful great- granddaughters.

There will be a viewing from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 13 at Dean-Lopez Funeral Home, 418 Simonton St. Key West, Fla. Following the viewing, at 7 p.m., Father John Baker of The Basilica of St. Mary Star of the Sea will perform a service.
