Clydesdales visit Southernmost City
8-horse team appears ahead of weekend air show

It's not unusual to see a rooster and his brood crossing a parking lot in Key West or a green iguana running for cover.

But curious bystanders were amazed Wednesday afternoon to see a team of eight Budweiser Clydesdale horses gracefully clomping around the Key Plaza parking lot.

Clydesdales

This magnificent horse team is really something to see. I am originally from St. Louis the home of the Clydesdales. They are a show stopper. It's great to see them in the Keys. Tom Barken, Islamorada

Flash, just heard that Clydesdale horses to retire in Key West and all eight to run for political office, many have said it is about time and finally we will get honest, smart civil servants.

Horses, as well as some commissioners, feed at the trough. I would rather vote for a horse than a horse's arse.
