Emma Augusta Clawson Lowe, 95, of Key West, Fla., passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Key West Health & Rehabilitation. Emma was born on March 26, 1917, in Newton, N.J., to the late William Hampton Clawson and Elsie Maroy Dunn Clawson.

Mrs. Lowe was a member of Peace Covenant Presbyterian Church. She worked for Ruth Carey at the Little School Daycare. Emma loved playing with the canasta card group on Saturdays, lead by her dear friend Pat Gibson. The card group brought great joy in her life. She enjoyed attending music recitals and piano duets with Auwina Weed and her son, Joe, followed by lunch at Denny's or IHOP. Emma always enjoyed having Nadia Borders at A-1 Beauty Salon fix her hair.

Mrs. Lowe was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Norman Joseph Lowe Sr., and numerous brothers and sisters. She is survived by son Joseph Lowe of Key West; daughters, Marilyn Jean (Paul) Crowley of Lake City, Fla., Sharyn Diane Sullinger and her partner Sue Berry of New Port News, Va.; sister Isabel Woolf of Lake City; grandchildren Karyn and Debra; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at the Dean-Lopez Funeral Home, 418 Simonton St., Key West, followed by burial in the Key West City Cemetery. Following the burial, there will be a reception at St. Paul's Parish Hall. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2013, at the Dean-Lopez Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials maybe given to Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice of the Florida Keys, 1319 William St., Key West, FL 33040. The Dean-Lopez Funeral Home is entrusted with all funeral arrangements.
