DANA LYNN FIELDS

ON TUESDAY, MARCH 19, 2013, DANA LYNN FIELDS PASSED AWAY IN GERMANTOWN, MD. DANA WAS BORN IN ANN ARBOR, MICH., ON DEC. 3, 1965, AT ST. JOSEPH'S HOSPITAL TO HER PARENTS CURTIS AND MARY ELLEN (MICHAEL) FIELDS. DANA WAS A GRADUATE OF HURON HIGH SCHOOL IN ANN ARBOR AND RECEIVED A BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN SPECIAL EDUCATION FROM CENTRAL FLORIDA UNIVERSITY AND A MASTER'S DEGREE IN COUNSELING AND PSYCHOLOGY FROM TROY STATE UNIVERSITY. FOR MANY YEARS, DANA TAUGHT AND INTERACTED WITH BOTH CHILDREN AND ADULTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS AND WAS A WONDERFUL, CARING AND COMPASSIONATE TEACHER AND MENTOR. HER CAREER WAS FILLED WITH GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS AND WAS REWARDED BY THE LOVE, ADMIRATION AND RESPECT OF ALL HER STUDENTS AND PEERS.

DANA IS SURVIVED BY HER LOVING PARTNER, PAM TRUCHON OF GERMANTOWN, MD.; HER MOTHER AND STEPFATHER, MARY ELLEN AND JAMES NICOL OF WESLEY CHAPEL, FLA.; A BROTHER, SCOTT P. FIELDS (LORRAINE) OF ATOKA, TENN.; TWO SISTERS, COLLIN M. FIELDS OF TAMPA, FLA., AND JILL A. FIELDS OF ELLICOTT CITY, MD.; MANY NIECES AND NEPHEWS; AND HER BELOVED DOGS, GUS, OAKLEY, CLOE, ZOE, KATIE AND LILY. SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER FATHER, CURTIS L. FIELDS; HER MATERNAL GRANDMOTHER, JOSEPHINE MICHAEL; AND HER PATERNAL GRANDMOTHER, SYBIL FIELDS.

DANA'S MEMORY WILL BE FOREVER TREASURED BY HER FAMILY, MANY FRIENDS AND EVERY CHILD WHOSE LIFE SHE TOUCHED. CREMATION HAS TAKEN PLACE AND A PRIVATE, FAMILY CELEBRATION OF DANA'S LIFE WILL BE HELD IN WESLEY CHAPEL AND KEY WEST, FLA.
