Redfish are a common game fish in the Upper Keys and Everglades, thriving in rich dark tannic waters of Florida Bay. While it is not uncommon to see bands of small reclusive redfish living among the edges of Lower Keys mangroves, we normally do not see large schools of redfish up on the flats.
