Bright lights matter, Navy is taking it seriously

Last year, wildlife rescue workers, military personnel and volunteers rescued 31 loggerhead turtle hatchlings off Naval Air Station Key West property at Truman Annex.

The baby turtles likely confused artificial light on base for the moon as hatchlings navigate to the ocean from the beach following the moon's reflection on the water's surface.
