State cuts threaten MARC services
Parents of special needs adults see support slipping away and fear the worst

A young, developmentally disabled woman we'll call "Mary" doesn't know it, but she may be about to lose her lifeline to the world.

Mary is a client of the Monroe Association for ReMARCable Citizens on United Street. She enjoys living at one of the organization's group homes, but the highlight of her day is going to MARC, where she spends her time potting plants....
