Sailing program open house

The Key West Community Sailing Center will hold open houses for its Summer Youth Sailing Program from 10 a.m. to noon every Saturday, starting this Saturday, at 705 Palm Drive, between Spencer's Boat Yard and the city's transportation building.

Parents and children may tour the center, see the sailboats and talk with instructors about the program, which accepts kids from age 8 to 17. They will be broken up into two groups, ages 8 to 11, and 12 to 17. It's a two-week class offered in sessions throughout the summer. All levels of experience are welcome, from those who have never been on a boat to seasoned sailers. Call 305-292-5993 for more information.
