Kit Roberts Sr. passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2013, very soon after being diagnosed with cancer.

He was born in Key West on April 14, 1951, to Joseph and Doris Roberts.

Kit is survived by his wife, Debra; children Kit Jr. and Michelle; grandchildren Damien and MaKayla; brothers Ronnie (Rena) and Larry (Dottie); Aunt Jessie (Chippy); brothers-in-law Michael and David; sister-in-law Wanda (Jorge); and numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews.

He worked many years in his business as an electrical contractor, and after working all week, he looked forward to spending the weekends with his grandchildren. He enjoyed playing games and growing tomatoes with them in the garden; spending evenings outside with them watching the space shuttles fly over, sharing photos and telling us stories of the "old days."

He also enjoyed hunting, hockey games, Western movies, and listening to Johnny Cash.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, grandma Lilly, and his beloved dog, FeFe.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Castillo & Thurston's, 328 Truman Ave. All arrangements are entrusted to Castillo & Thurston's Key West Mortuary and Cremation Center.
