Military property tax bill vetoed
Gov. didn’t like amendment exempting only active-duty housing from taxes

Gov. Rick Scott waited until 6 p.m. Wednesday to veto a bill that would have provided millions of dollars in local property tax exemptions to private companies that partner with the military on housing projects.

Scott had until midnight to either veto or sign Senate Bill 354.
