Flora Chatten, 81, of Brandon, Fla., eldest of six children born to Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Cruz, entered life Aug. 4, 1931, in Key West, Fla. She departed life Monday, June 17, 2013.

She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Jack; her five children, John, Carol (Larry), Rhonda (Michael), Thomas (Diane) and Evelyn (Bruce). She had 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren who were her pride and joy.

She was a member of the Bell Shoals Church of Christ. She overcame many obstacles that this life under the sun threw her way, but it was the dementia disease that she wasn't able to defeat. We will miss her so very much! "What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes part of us," Helen Keller.
