Police Dept. is reaccredited

The Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation officially reaccredited the Police Department on Thursday, according to spokeswoman Alyson Crean.

Commissioners unanimously approved the recommendation of a team of assessors, who visited in March, to renew the accreditation.

The team scrutinized all aspects of the department, as it does every three years, to ensure it meets the state's standards for best practices, Crean said.
