Supreme Court paves the way for marriage equality for all Americans

"Equal Justice Under Law."

These powerful words are engraved on the front of the U.S. Supreme Court building in Washington, D.C. The phrase was proposed by the building's architects, and then approved by justices of the court in 1932. It is based on the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and dates back to ancient Greece.
