Longer burn season, anyone?
Meetings set for next week

Federal wildlife officials are considering extending the number of months available to perform controlled burns in the National Key Deer Refuge.

But given a recent scare in Big Pine Key when one such burn went awry, they want to hear from residents first.

Two public meetings have been scheduled for Tuesday, when refuge biologists and fire control staff...
