Kelly Lin Austin was born on Aug. 30, 1960, in Grand Haven, Mich., to Charles Raymond Austin and Dawn Marie Babbitt. She served in the Navy from 1981 to 1984, after graduating from Grand Ledge High School in Michigan in 1980. Kelly was a long-term resident of Key West and was proud to be a "Freshwater Conch." She was also a longtime employee of Drs. Michael Klitenick, Juan Larrauri and Rhoda Smith. Her position was one of the most difficult to fulfill in their office, but she exhibited grace, dedication and total competency in her job. The medical community will sorely miss her. Over the last two years, Kelly had some difficult medical problems but despite them, she never lost her sense of humor or her dedication to others. She loved the ocean, crossword puzzles, cooking, painting and most importantly, her family.

On Sunday, July 7, 2013, Kelly Lin Austin passed away to a better place.

Kelly is survived by her two wonderful sons, Grant Matthew Hibbard and Jacob Clinton Hoal; daughter-in-law Jenny L. Starling; precious granddaughter Rayna Dawn Hibbard; sister Ruth Austin; six brothers, Clint Austin, Orville Austin, Gary Babbitt, Ray Babbitt, Joe Babbitt and Keith Babbitt; best friend, Bruce Coverdale, and co-workers and close friends Annie Garcia, Susana Rivero, Judith Blanco, Linda McAlarney and Teresa Wallace.

She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and a host of sorrowing friends. She will be missed immensely.
