RICHARD C. MOWERY

RICHARD CHARLES MOWERY, 64, OF SUGARLOAF KEY, FLA., PASSED AWAY TUESDAY, JULY 9, 2013, AT LOWER KEYS MEDICAL CENTER AFTER A LONG AND VALIANT BATTLE WITH ILLNESS. RICHARD WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED AS A GENTLE SOUL, SO HANDSOME AND KIND.

RICHARD WAS BORN NOV. 29, 1948, IN MECHANICSBURG, PA., AND GRADUATED FROM CUMBERLAND VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL.

HE WORKED MOST OF HIS LIFE AS A WAREHOUSE MANAGER AND SUPERVISOR AND UNSELFISHLY MOVED NUMEROUS TIMES TO ALLOW HIS WIFE TO PURSUE HER CAREER. HE LOVED THE KEYS AND KEY WEST AND WAS SO HAPPY IN THE 10 YEARS HE SPENT HERE.

HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS MOTHER, BILLIE MAE (LINE) MOWERY, HIS FATHER, CHARLES C. MOWERY, HIS BROTHER ROBERT W. MOWERY, HIS FATHER-IN-LAW WILLARD C. WILL, AND KITTIES CHARLIE BROWN AND REBEL.

HIS IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE, DR. NICKI WILL-MOWERY OF SUGARLOAF KEY; HIS SISTERS, PAM (MOWERY) BOWER AND PATTY (MOWERY) MCCULLOUGH AND HER HUSBAND ALAN MCCULLOUGH OF MECHANICSBURG; HIS NIECE MICHELLE MOWERY OF BURKE, VA.; HIS MOTHER-IN-LAW AND DEAR FRIEND, DEANNA WILL OF CENTRAL CITY, PA.; HIS BROTHER-IN-LAW THADDEUS WILL AND HIS WIFE JUDY; NEPHEWS GAVIN AND CONNOR OF CENTRAL CITY, PA.; AND KITTY SAVANNAH.

VISITATION WILL BE HELD FROM 11 A.M. TO 1 P.M. FOLLOWED BY A SERVICE AT 1 P.M. TODAY, SATURDAY, JULY 13, 2013, AT THE DEAN-LOPEZ FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 418 SIMONTON ST., KEY WEST, FLA. INTERRING WILL TAKE PLACE A LATER DATE IN CAMP HILL, PA.

THE DEAN-LOPEZ FUNERAL HOME IS ENTRUSTED WITH ALL FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS.

SPECIAL APPRECIATION FROM FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO THE ANGELS AT LOWER KEYS MEDICAL CENTER IN THE ICU AND IMCU AND RESPIRATORY THERAPY WHO CARED FOR HIM, AND TO DR. CALLEJA, A VERY SPECIAL PHYSICIAN AND HUMAN BEING, AND TO DR. CHAN AND DR. HERRERA, WHO WERE THERE DURING DIFFICULT GOOD TIMES AND BAD. ALSO TO DR. OLDHAM AND DR. AHAMAD AND THEIR STAFF, WHO WERE SO KIND AND PROFESSIONAL DURING HIS CANCER TREATMENT. AND ALWAYS TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS WHO PRAYED AND CRIED WITH US.
