Countdown to once-weekly pickup
City offers suggestions to control potential odors under new trash schedule

When the city of Key West dials down its waste pickup schedule to once a week on July 29 instead of the longtime twice weekly routine, there is no need for residents to fear that a new stench will result, said Will Thompson, who directs the recycling program.
