Work moves to old road

UPPER KEYS -- Village pipeline installation has stopped at mile marker 95 in Key Largo and will begin on Plantation Key from Tavernier Creek to Woods Avenue.

This work will include southbound lane closures along the Old Highway during the day, according to Reynolds Water Islamorada/Layne officials.

Nighttime lane closures at Julep Road southbound are also expected through next week.

The company has moved the pipeline installation work to north Plantation Key so it can be completed before the new school year begins at Coral Shores High School.

The pipeline will connect Islamorada to Key Largo's sewage treatment plant at mile marker 100.5.
