Shrimp net removed from reef
Likely from a shrimp boat, net killed tangled wildlife

A 75-foot long gill net stuck on the reef near Sand Key Light has finally been removed - well over a month after its location was reported to the authorities.

The net, which likely came from a shrimp boat, was hauled to the surface around noon Monday by workers from Towboat U.S.
