Ella Marion Hemingway Ellison, 94, passed quietly into our Lord's arms while surrounded by family on Friday, July 26, 2013. Born on Aug. 14, 1918, in Derby, Conn., Ella lived in Stevenson, Conn., before retiring

with her husband to Key West, Fla., in 1976. After the passing of her husband, Ella moved to Vero Beach, Fla., in 1995. Ella loved bingo, gardening and reading.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter "Bud" Ellison, and her son, Richard Ellison. She is survived by two daughters, Beverly (Richard) Farkas and Barbara (Robert) Taylor, of Vero Beach; seven grandchildren, Beverly June (Dana) Gregory, Richard (Shauna) Farkas Jr., Sandra (Alan) Averette, Scott (Vonda) Taggart, Michael Taggart, Kristeen (Mark) Reeves, and David (Tracy) Ellison; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held Aug. 31, 2013, in Vero Beach. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the assistance provided by VNA Hospice of Vero Beach.
