Sonya Marie Estenoz was born in Key West on Aug. 17, 1972. She passed away peacefully, but unexpectedly, on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013, at the age of 41.

She was the beloved daughter of Tony and Cheryle Hall-Estenoz of Key West, sister of Tony Estenoz III (Lydia) and "Mommie" to Rachael Peagler-Estenoz (Paxton).

She loved spending time with her daughter Rachael, her dear friend Kirby and her dog Sasha.

She especially loved watching Disney movies with her daughter, listening to music and was an avid swimmer when she was younger.

She is survived by niece Alana, nephew Tony IV, Uncle Bill Estenoz (Marylin), Aunt Sandra and cousins Shannon, Krishna, Ethan, Ashley, Sarah and Brett.

She was affectionately known as "Son-Son" by her family and friends, and she worked for the family businesses, Key Haven & Southernmost Shell stations, for almost 20 years.

A memorial gathering will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Saturday, Aug. 31, at 2116 Fogarty Ave. in Key West.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Rachael's college fund and/or mailed to 17 Amaryllis Drive, Key West, FL 33040.
