New artists featured at Studios
The Studios of Key West will showcase emerging artists in an exhibit, "Expose," that opens with a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight. Established local artists have invited new talents to partner with them in the show, which runs through Oct. 11.
The artists featured are: Maggie Ruley, Deborah Goldman, Andy Thurber, Garth Holtcamp, Sherry Sweet Tewell, Shawn Maddox, Brooks Phillips, Grace Epperly, Maureen Tracy Venti, Jim Racchi, Mark Hedden, Martha Hubbard, Jonathan Woods, Dahlia Woods, Pam Hobbs, Michele Atkinson, Jeffrey Harwell, Beth Kamenstein, Lauren McAloon, Anja Marais, Claire Perrault, Sonia Robinson, Jessica Argyle, Sarah Goodwin-Nguyen, Danette Silvers, Jill Herasme, Judi Bradford, Sheelman, Marky Pierson, Christine Fifer and Jon McIntosh.

Park seeks volunteer group
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Bahia Honda State Park is seeking volunteers to organize a community-based, citizen support organization (CSO) for the park.
A CSO is an independent, nonprofit corporation that operates under a partnership agreement with the Florida Division of Recreation and Parks.
It supports the park by working on projects, raising money, and increasing community awareness and involvement.
An initial organizational meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Sand and Sea Nature Center at Bahia Honda State Park.

Free computer classes offered
The Key West library, 700 Fleming St., is now accepting registrations for its free beginning computer classes in October. Classes are held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursdays. Space is limited and registration is required.
On Oct. 3, the class will be an introduction to the PC computer, geared for those new to computers. On Oct. 10, the class will be a welcome to the desktop and Windows environment. Oct. 17, the class will be an introduction to the Internet.
On Oct. 24 the class will cover email basics; Oct. 31 will be the second Internet class.
