William B. Soldano of Belleview, Fla., went to his Heavenly Father on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at the Legacy Hospice House in Ocala, Fla.

William was a member of the Belleview Church of Nazarene, with the Rev. Brincefield. He was born on Sept. 17, 1923, in Key West, Fla. He was a son of the late Baldassare and Angela Soldano. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice Soldano; daughter Frances Soldano Kulczyk; brothers Louis, Joseph and Henry Soldano; sisters Maria Kemp, Angela Domenech and Louise Barroso; and grandson Matthew Dowling Jr.

William was a naval veteran, serving his country during World War II. Along with his love and devotion to Christ, and his church, he also taught his children and grandchildren all about his love for horses, from caring to becoming accomplished riders.

William is survived by his wife, Judith Soldano; his children Louise Soldano (Michael), Edward Soldano (Ezalee) and Nancy Dowling (Matthew); his son-in-law Peter Kulczyk; his brother Antonio Soldano and sister-in-law Delores Soldano; grandchildren William McLellan, Shawn Soldano (Natalie), Steve McLellan (Maria), Ralph Garcia, Tiffany Garcia, Kailey Dowling, Tim Peterson (Julie) and James Peterson. He has 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering will be held at noon with services at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at Roberts Funeral Home, 606 SW Second Ave., Ocala, FL 34471, with internment at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens, 5050 SW 20th St., Ocala, FL 34474.
