Ex-cop's case ends in mistrial
Whistle-blower tries to get his job back

A mistrial was declared Monday for a former Key West police officer suing to get his job back.

Circuit Judge Tegan Slaton ruled it a mistrial after the ex-officer's attorney, Mick Barnes, showed or said something to jurors in his closing arguments that had been ruled inadmissible, City Attorney Shawn Smith confirmed.
