Death penalty protest tonight
Local to hold sign against execution

While many Key West residents focus on the city election today, Patrice Schwermer has other plans.

Starting at 5 p.m., Schwermer will stand outside the county courthouse with a sign protesting the death penalty as the state plans to execute convicted killer Marshall Lee Gore, 49, imprisoned for killing two women in 1988.
