MARATHON -- From now through March 31, Marathon Library is making its computers available to residents seeking access to the Affordable Care Act's new health insurance marketplace.
The marketplace can be found online at healthcare.gov and is accessible from any computer with an Internet connection. There, consumers can compare and purchase private health coverage plans.
Library staff will be on hand to help with any technical issues.
Additionally, with the opening of a new toll-free call center, consumers will be able to call (800) 318-2596 to speak with a customer service representative. This service will be available in English and Spanish.
Individuals and families may also be eligible for subsidies to cover a portion of the cost of their monthly premiums.
Marathon Library's computers are available during regular library hours. The library is located at 3251 Overseas Highway. For more information, call 743-5156.
