Island chain vulnerable to rising sea levels
Report will help officials plan for the future of flood-prone areas

There is not a place in the country -- arguably in the world -- more vulnerable to global sea level rise than the Florida Keys.

In the Keys, 90 percent of the land mass is 5 feet or less above sea level. The level of the ocean has already risen almost 9 inches in the past 100 years, according to data collected by The Nature Conservancy.
