Guido (Eagle) Roche, age 88, passed away December 18, 2013, at the Lower Keys Medical Center in Key West. Guido was born March 23, 1925, in Key West, the son of Francisco and Mercedes (Martinez) Roche. He was a life time resident of Key West. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II and was a well known and respected commercial fisherman for many years. He was fondly known as "Capitan" Guido, a devoted and beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dolly Roche in 1978, his stepson Buddy Justice in 1984, his brother Tony Roche and two sisters, Dora Bethel and Unella Roche.

He is survived by four daughters, Linda (Joel) Sillman, Dorothy (Dennis) Havener, JoAnn Roche and Patricia (Robert -Deceased ) Biszantz; one sister, Selina Hunt; step-daughters Barbara (Cliff) Holladay and Loretta (Dave) Anderson; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

There will be a graveside funeral service 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, at Southern Keys Cemetery, Big Coppitt Key. Dean-Lopez Funeral Home is entrusted with all arrangements.
