City moves on stables compost project
Keeping horse manure closer to home a win-win

Erika Biddle spent Christmas Eve last year going around the island collecting pieces of Christmas trees that had been discarded.

"I put them in my compost," said Biddle, who carried the green branches in her arms as she walked neighborhoods. Recycling is nothing new to Biddle. She's had a compost heap at home since she moved to Key West in 1992.
