Frederick R. Anderson

Frederick Reuben Anderson 87, of Key West, passed away on Tuesday Dec. 31, 2013 at his home. He was born on February 8, 1926 in Port Jervis, New York to the late Axel and Sigrid (Lilga) Anderson.

Frederick served 22 years in the United States Navy. He moved throughout the U.S., Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Norfolk, Va and Key West. He retired after 18 years as an air condition technician for Sears. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and Masonic Temple.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Rayola. Surviving are sons Allan Anderson of Key West, Fred (Dee Smith) Anderson of Melbourne, FL; daughter Linda Brown of North Carolina; one sister; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday Jan. 7 at the Dean-Lopez Funeral Home 418 Simonton Street Key West. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. The Dean-Lopez Funeral Home is entrusted with all funeral arrangement.
