Out of this world paddle plant is a bit fuzzy and peculiar

The chalky blue-green leaves of the four-foot tall paddle plant (Kalanchoe luciae) create a bizarre otherworldly image in the garden. Once the tall stem emerges from the low rosette of leaves and rises into our carbon dioxide-laced air, gardeners will be sure that they have been invaded by vegetation from outer space.
