Donato Delfino Elomina, 76, passed away unexpectedly January 21, 2014, in Bigaa Cabuyao, Lauguna, Philippines. He was born on December 12, 1937, in Bigaa Cabuyao, and moved to Guam in his early twenties to work for the United States Navy Civil Service as a mason. There he met and married an American teacher, Virginia Leilani Bleeks, and they moved to Key West, Florida, in 1966, shortly after the birth of their son, Donato. Upon arriving in Key West he started his own masonry company, then worked as a mason for the Navy Civil Service until his retirement in 2000. In 2001, Don moved back to Bigaa Cabuyao, where he continued his trade and built himself his "palace."

Don is preceded in death by his parents Jose A. and Catalina Delfino Elomina, his brothers Carlito Elomina and Domingo Elomina, and his former wife Virginia Leilani Elomina. He is survived by his son Donato (Holly) Elomina of Key West, and daughters Denise Harris of Arlington, Texas, and Dona (Jimmy) Elomina of Key West; grandchildren, Ashli (Casey) McCune, DJ, Jacob and Jade Elomina, Alex, Alyssa and Daniel Harris and Jemma Rivas; and great-grandchildren Roman Brown and Chase McCune. He is also survived by his brothers Jose Elomina, Jr. and Rufino Elomina of the Philippines and Tirso Elomina of Hinesville, Georgia; sister Victoria Magante of Guam and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Don was a gracious and giving man and always had a smile on his face. Known as Papa to his beloved grandchildren and Tito to his nephews and nieces, he will be dearly missed.
