Myrna Lewis McKillip passed away on January 29, 2014. She was born in Key West on January 15, 1936, of English mother Annie Trumble and William Lewis. Maintaining her English pride she was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mryna was loved by all that knew her and by those that she met. Her greatest pride was that she did not worry her mother. She had the privilege of being an extra in Tennessee William's the Rose Tattoo filmed in Key West in 1955.

Survived by her husband of 57 years, John L. McKillip; children Captain Alan (Lea) McKillip, Julie (John) Kennedy; grandchildren Shannon Lea McKillip, Brian William McKillip; brother John C. (Joyce) Lewis; nieces Carol Favors (Cliff Sawyer), Peggy (Bill) Trout and Christina (Mike) Maribona and children; lifelong friends Norma (Robert) Sawyer and Ernestine Dineen.

A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, February 3, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Dean-Lopez Funeral Home 418 Simonton Street Key West. Family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Key West City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of donor's choice. The Dean-Lopez Funeral Home is entrusted with all funeral arrangements.
