State crime data shows drop
Clearance rates up for solving crimes

State numbers are in and the crime rate in the Florida Keys continued its decline in 2013, according to data collected by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Crime in Key West dropped 6 percent last year, but the biggest drop came in the county with areas patrolled by the Monroe County Sheriff's Office dropping more than twice that figure at 12.5 percent.
