Keys land developer F.P. Sadowski filed a slander suit against a couple he claims damaged his reputation by verbal outburst in his office and at the Key Colony Beach golf course.

The operator of the defunct Mardi Gras Club filed suit against his landlady, Rose Rabin, who at one time was proprietor of Mom's Tea Room on Stock Island, asking for the returned of his $5,000 deposit.

The Key West Ministerial Association announced it would sponsor the three-hour Good Friday Service to be held at the First Congregational Church at 527 William Street.

Former President Truman visited the Marathon Masonic Lodge No. 323 and was made an honorary member.

Leonard Sands set a record in the Miami Met Fishing Tournament with a 17½ pound jack on fly-casting tackle.

Gideons International held their annual meeting across the country to report on progress for the past year and plan the new one. The Key West meeting was held at the Town House Motor Inn.
