Cruise ship rescues 41 Cubans from overloaded chug

A Carnival cruise ship's crew made a dramatic sea rescue Tuesday night, pulling to safety 41 Cubans packed into a chug that was taking on water, U.S. Coast Guard officials said.

Crew members aboard the 855-foot Carnival Ecstasy spotted the "grossly overloaded vessel" at 7 p.m. Tuesday while cruising the Florida Straits and realized those aboard were in danger.
