• Mangrove cleanup planned

Fury Water Adventures is seeking volunteers from the Keys community to conduct a beach and mangrove cleanup of Boca Grande Island located within the Key West National Wildlife Refuge from 2 to 6:30 p.m. April 6. This is a free event for the public; space is limited. Sodas, water and snacks will be provided. For information, or to make reservations, call the Fury Call Center at 305-292-4600.

• Artists needed for garden show

The Garden seeks local sculptors to install and display unique, nature friendly, outdoor sculptures made from recycled materials to grace the garden grounds from April to July for the fifth annual Key West Art Garden at the Key West Botanical Garden. If interested call Misha McRAE at 305-296-1504.

• FKWCS exhibits its works

The Key West Art Center is hosting the annual Florida Keys Watercolor Society judged exhibit through Monday at the Art Center, 301 Front St., Key West. For information, go to www.fkwcs.com.

• Free group meditation

Island Insight Meditation offers free group mediation practice from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. every Monday at 327 Elizabeth St, Key West (the Christian Science building). All levels from beginners to advanced are welcome. Chairs are available, but bring your own mat if you wish to sit on the floor. For information send email to islandinsightmeditation@gmail.com.

• Special concert of young musicians

The Keys Community Concert Band concludes its 2013-14 season with the annual Young Musicians Concert at 4 p.m. April 26 at the ICE Amphitheater in Founders Park, Mile Marker 87, Bayside, Islamorada. • "Peace, Love and Palm Trees"

The Domestic Abuse Shelter will hosts its annual fundraiser, "Peace, Love and Palm Trees," from 6 to 9 p.m. May 14 at 95702 Overseas Highway, Key Largo (bayside). Masters of Ceremony will be Capt. Skip Bradeen and Councilman Mike Forster. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased at the chamber of commerce, Amoray Bay Dive Resort, Key Largo, or at Hooked on Books, Blue Boutique and Tommy Bahama Stores at Cheeca Lodge in Islamorada, or online at www.domesticabuseshelter.org.

• Florida Highwaymen exhibit

Collections of original paintings of Old Florida and Key Largo will be on display at the Keys History and Discovery Center in Islamorada. The exhibit features two significant collections: the Art of the Florida Highwaymen and Harry Sonntag, Key Largo's hermit artist. The exhibit runs from April 3 through June 1 at the Discovery Center in Islamorada, Mile Marker 82, Islander Resort, a Guy Harvey Outpost. The exhibit is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays. Exhibit is sponsored by the Florida Keys History and Discovery Foundation.
