Drunk man jumps into ocean in failed escape

STOCK ISLAND -- A Michigan man twice took to the sea Wednesday night in efforts to flee deputies, but was stymied by a skiff-driving good Samaritan who helped in the man's eventual capture in the mangroves.

David Burns, 34, was charged with DUI, two counts of resisting arrest, attaching a tag not assigned to a vehicle, and careless driving.
