DUCK KEY -- A 48-year-old New Hampshire man died while diving offshore of Duck Key last Wednesday afternoon, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.

Matthew Prior was on a dive trip with his family aboard the vessel Seafari out of Hawk's Cay.

Prior and others were diving on a hooka rig about 15 minutes before Prior signaled he wanted to surface. Prior became unresponsive after surfacing, reports say.

Instructors began CPR and the boat headed back to shore before Prior was pronounced dead at Fishermen's Hospital. An autopsy will be done to determine the cause of his death.
