Soledad "Choly" Taylor, 72, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2014 at Broadmoore Assisted Living Facility in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Choly was born in Havana, Cuba on March 4, 1942.

She came to Key West from Cuba in 1962 with her parents. She owned Choly's Hair Salon at the Sportsman's Inn Hotel until she moved to Miami, in 1978.

Choly will be greatly missed by her family and will always be remembered for her caring, and kind heart and her infectious laughter. She loved attending church and spending time with family.

She was preceded in passing by her father, Arturo Cobo Sr., her husband, Ray W. Taylor Sr., and son, Ray W. Taylor, Jr.

She is survived by her mother Esther Avila Cobo, brother, Arturo (Aleida) Cobo, daughter, Dori (Rick) Pipitone, sons, Richard (Joyce) Taylor, Rodney (Taylor) Taylor and Randy (Shea) Taylor. Grandchildren, Jennifer, Tiffany, Brittney, Sabrina, Tabitha, Alejandro, Javier, Necole, Ashley, Randy, Ryan, Chase and 13 great grandchildren, two nieces, Elsa Cobo Degraffenreid and Becky Cobo and 4 grand-nieces and nephew.

Choly was laid to rest alongside her father and grandmother at Woodlawn Park Cemetery in Miami, Fla. on April 19, 2014.
