City needs $100K more for $1.1M parks redo
City staff: Project never had a contingency fund

City planners have asked for an additional $100,000 to pay for the renovations to two Bahama Village parks already costing $1.1 million and funded by more than $818,000 from property tax reserves.

The $100,000 includes $70,000 for unforeseen work reported by the contractor and $30,000 as a contingency fund, which was cut from the original budget, planner Nicole Malo said.
