After 20 years, Dr. Mark Whiteside and Dr. Jerome Covington are leaving their Northside Drive office for a new location in Key West. They have acquired scores of paintings and prints from well-known Key West and national artists that won't be going with them. The work ranges from artists' proofs and early works by the likes of John Kiraly, paintings on brown paper by Ron Clemons, prints by Sal Salinero, the delicate floral watercolors of Errol Etienne, and a host of other artists.
To celebrate the end of an era, the good doctors are planning a wine reception and art sale from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Health Care Center, 3134-B Northside Drive. Proceeds will be donated to a local charity.
