Live-aboards deal with stepped-up boardings
2 bills aimed at derelict boat removal, mooring fields

Two bills that strengthen the powers of local marine law enforcement officers and give them more control of the regulation of live-aboard boaters have passed the state Legislature and are awaiting the governor's signature.

If signed, H.B. 955 and S.B. 1126 would extend the program by another three years.
