The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission rescued three people near Pickles Reef Friday morning after they reportedly began taking on water.
Coast Guard watchstanders got the call about 10:30 a.m. and FWC officers were already on scene at that time. Two people were diving on a hookah rig and were on the boat when the boat began taking on water, said FWC spokeswoman Bobby Dube.
It was not clear Friday what caused the 22-foot center console to take on water. None of those rescued needed medical assistance.
