FLORIDA KEYS
"Katharine" seen in South

Katharine the great white shark kept meandering west Friday and is now west of the Dry Tortugas and south in the Gulf Stream, according to the tracking website OCEARCH.org.

Katharine, a 14-footer, was tagged on her dorsal fin with a satellite tracking device in August off Cape Cod by a team of scientists.

Every time Katharine surfaces, her tracking device "pings" off a satellite, which the website updates every 30 minutes.

Katharine appears to be turning toward the Gulf of Mexico and moving north, according to the latest information Friday at OCEARCH.org.
