Gordon Williams, Jr., 75, of Key West, Fla. passed away on Wednesday May 28, 2014 at Key West Health & Rehabilitation. He was born on February 2, 1939 in Key West, Fla. to the late Gordon and Maxine (Fine) Williams, Sr.

Gordon grew up in Key West and was a graduate of Key West High School, class of 1957. Gordon made a career in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant with 27 years of service.

After his retirement, he and his family returned to Key West. He worked at the Key West Post Office Flagler Station as a popular and beloved postal clerk.

After he retired from the Post Office, Gordon enjoyed being a successful commercial lobster diver. Gordon was a member of the Navy League, American Legion, and Air Force Sergeants Association (AFSA).

Gordon is survived by his wife Carolyn Williams of Key West; daughter Nancy Henke of Hilton Head, SC; brother Wayne (Rosa) Williams of Harlingen, Texas; sisters Sylvia (David) Norris of Homosassa, Fla., Gloria (Jerry) Nelson of Ohio; grandson Jacob Henke of Tucson, Ariz.; sister-in-law Linda (Andy) Landrum of New Braunfels, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Gordon was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Susan Williams and grandson Jarrod Henke.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. The Dean-Lopez Funeral Home is entrusted with all funeral arrangements.
